@@rifkyfahrana1141 The problem isnt mercedes not bringing the busses to the states. There are many Citaros running in Chile. The problem is the US gov, the busses need to be manufactured in the US in order to drive there.
@@EchoTrains that's why a lot of people in the US complain how sucks government city buses are. the Citaro almost made it to the states back in 2008 - 2009 when they were testing the Citaro G in NYC. and for some reason decided to not operating it. no other buses offer a level of safety and efficiency like European buses

Die Front ist richtig gut gelungen, das große Embleme sieht Mega aus. Auch das Heck sieht sehr gut aus, was aber stört ist die Trennung von Niederflur auf Hochflur. Da war der Übergang beim 416 besser.

These citaros lead a tough working life when they come to a country like Singapore and get used by the public transport operators. Abuse is not even close to what these buses undergo on a day to day basis; sudden acceleration and braking, drivers holding the brakes at traffic lights and refusing to even switch to Neutral, some even revving the engines to 4000rpm whilst keeping their foot on the brakes; but yet, they keep performing and have served the public really well

Hallo @TheColinChapman, Ganz genau! Die Betten dürfen während der Busfahrt nicht belegt werden. Das ist unter anderem in der Straßenverkehrs-Ordnung(§ 35i) festgehalten. Und: Anschnallen nicht vergessen 😁
@@DaimlerBusesOfficial merci. ohne abwertend klingen zu wollen, aber - bleibt dann noch eine hinreichende Existenzberechtigung für einen Nightliner als Tourbus übrig? Wenn man erst morgens weiterfahren kann und nachmittags am nächsten Spielort schon wieder proben muss, begrenzt das die Tagesreichweite doch beträchtlich, oder? Wäre eine Band mit einer Hotelübernachtung und ein paar Limousinen am Vormittag drauf nicht schneller unterwegs?

Die Anzahl der Schlafplätze, der Stauraum für Equipment, die wegfallenden Kosten für Hotelbetten (und die hohe Anzahl an zu mietenden Limousinen) sprechen aus unserer Sicht ganz klar für den Nightliner 😊 Neben Komfort und ganz viel Beinfreiheit spart man zudem richtig Zeit, da man kein langes Einchecken und Auschecken in Hotels planen muss. Großes Plus: Das gemeinschaftliche Zuhause der Band parkt im Idealfall direkt vor dem Konzertort.

Vielen Dank für deine Frage! Der Verbrauch hängt von vielen Faktoren ab, wie beispielsweise vom Gelände, der Fahrweise, dem Einsatzzweck und weiteren Einflüssen. Daher ist es schwierig, ihn genau zu beziffern.
@@DaimlerBusesOfficialin unserer leicht hügeligen Landschaft, mitten in Hessen, wurden vor paar Jahren Hybrid Busse getestet, sie hatten einen höheren Dieselverbrauch als die reinen Diesel Busse,

We ha e some older Citaro models on 63rd bus route in Kharkiw. They are smooth and quiet.
Airbags should be installed in buses as soon as possible. It would be much better if it was any brand from the Daimler group that brought this about. This would be like a revolution for buses.
The implementation of an airbag system in a bus presents a number of challenges. While modern trucks, such as the Mercedes-Benz Actros, already have airbags, the situation in a bus is fundamentally different. In contrast to a truck, where the driver sits above the engine, the driver's seat in a bus is significantly lower. This requires a special adaptation of the airbag system and makes the integration of an airbag one of the more complex tasks that we are currently tackling.
